Bible 101: Old Testament

Win: for students to understand WHY the Old Testament is important to them personally.

7:30 Game: Dance your hat and gloves off w/ 2 students
7:35 Snack and Family Group
8:00 end sharp

 

Pre-Gather 6:20 - 6:30p in Student Center/Atrium

Key Steps:

  1. Core Team needs to touch base with each other and pray
  2. Bill Exchange(everyone gets 10 bills. They try to win other's $ by flipping coin, RPS, thumb wrestling)

 

Gather 6:30pm-7:00pm – (Atrium)

Key Steps:

  1. Paul does a quick recap and Intro questions
  2. Joy Fallon Show Introduction
    1. Theme Music
    2. Introduce the Topic: Bible 101: Old Testament
    3. Introduce Sr. Ann Mary and ask some personal questions
    4. Game: Trivia(Sr. Ann answers bible questions and prize goes to the students)

 

Proclaim 7:00pm-7:30pm(Atrium)

Key Steps:

  1. Interview w/ Sr. Ann Mary(she will provide prompts)
  2. Game: Dance your Hats and Gloves off
    1. 2 students come up and play with Sr. Ann
    2. Each person puts on hat and gloves and have 15 seconds to dance it off. 1 point for each glove, 2 points for the hat

 

Break 7:30pm-7:55pm(Everywhere)

Key Steps:

  1. Snack
  2. Family groups will be given 1 scripture passage and 1 movie theme and will have to act out that story in that movie theme
  3. The groups have 10 minutes to come up with a plan
  4. Separate the groups if both leaders are there and the group is too large. We will have 6 options just in case
  5. Come back to the Atrium and Joy Ermie will host the groups and their skits
