We Never Stop Learning.

From the beginning of our parish in 2005, Saint John XXIII has been committed to providing opportunities for parishioners of all ages to grow in their faith.

New Parent Retreat & Baptism

Our journey of initiation begins with parental preparation for Baptism. At Saint John XXIII this includes the New Parent Retreat.  This provides parents with opportunities to meet in small groups to discuss what it means to have their child anointed Priest, Prophet and King. We also follow up with parents in the years following baptism with letters and other resources.

Preschool & Kindergarten

Preschool & Kindergarten

Seeds Sunday Preschool and Promise Kindergarten are offered on Sunday mornings during Mass. These interactive and hands on programs allow children to learn about the Sunday scripture readings on their own levels through music, art and crafts.

BaseCamp Begins

Parents should begin their children's formal faith formation in First Grade.  BaseCamp begins with parents at church and at home as they begin to learn more about their journey of faith.

During Mass, children are encouraged to attend Children's Liturgy of the Word.

First Eucharist Preparation & BaseCamp

Our second graders continue their faith formation by participation in BaseCamp. We begin additional preparation for First Eucharist by participating in "coaching" sessions, parent meetings with Father Herb, our Jesus Night Retreat, and the First Communion interview where the children receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time.

Communal Reconciliation & BaseCamp

BaseCamp and Communal Reconciliation begin in the fall for our families who participated in First Eucharist during the previous year.

The Communal Reconciliation preparation process is designed to include "coaching " sessions, three parent meetings with Fr. Herb and a Communal Reconciliation Service for the whole family.

BaseCamp

Fourth grade students participate in our BaseCamp program.

BaseCamp is a time that kids and parents learn the basics of Catholicism so they can grow in their faith and build on the foundation that has created by their family in the home. BaseCamp includes both lessons at church and in the home. Each session at church begins with a light meal.

56M

Our 5/6 program meets on Thursday evenings and is geared toward the needs of these intermediate students.

Our student ministry at St. John XXIII is an incredible program that is focused on building disciples of the next generation. We have an awesome team that desires to awaken the spiritual life of each and every student. We do that through the 6 C's of Discipleship:

CONTACT > CONNECT > CARE > CHALLENGE > COMMITMENT > CO-WORKER

High School

High School Ministry

In our High School Ministry, we seek to keep building maturity in our students and help them grow in deeper relationships with each other, their leaders and, most importantly, the Lord.

HSM meets weekly on Sunday nights during the school year and at other times during the summer months. Annual retreats, mission trips and conferences are also an exciting part of the program. We encourage parents to promote participation at HSM as a means to continue faith development in the teen years.
