Because I missed the fourth quarter and both overtimes of play of the Ohio State-University of Michigan game on Saturday, I watched the highlights later.
The highlights included scoring, pass interceptions, missed field goal attempts, the controversial first down call, and the final touchdown. It all took place in two minutes time, and I felt totally caught up.
But then I started to think about the in-between parts of the game that I had missed. Games are not just about highlights, just as life is more than just those big moments.
If there were a highlight film of my life, I honestly don’t know what would be included –depends on who makes the film. But real life is lived with all the small moments that take place on a daily basis. Often those little non-highlight times make the big moments possible.
